If there were a book about best boats on yacht racing, there would be one name to get a lot of mentions – Doug Peterson. This person is a designer of so many famous boats such as Ganbare, Scarlet O’Hara, Eclips, Perfect Stranger, Cheetah, and of course, the legendary series of Williwas (four in total), he has been one of the dominant persons in racing yacht design for the last 15 years. His designs not only won their world titles in every IOR ton class, but also in: Winner Two American Cup with Newzealand Team, Louis Vuitton Cup Admiral’s Cups, Sardinia Cups, Clipper Cups etc. Without any doubt Doug Peterson has become one of the best designers ever.
We invited a designer Doug Peterson, sat down at a drawing table and said: “Design us the best cruising boat.” And that was exactly what he did.

Captain Lucas Foschi is from Treviso, Italy, known for the food culture, he provides the excellent cervice for the guests. Luca is our senior skipper with knowledge of Mama’s secret recipes and cooking up some exclusive Italian dishes during the trip that pleases every person. Designed by Dough Peterson, the sail sport legend built at Hans Cristian yard in 2007, she’s with her 52 feet the largest sailing yacht in Koh Samui, Thailand. Her interior is designed by Italian designer Melania Perini and made up in solid teak wood and a galley with granit top. With her 3 double bed cabin’s, 2 toilet’s with bath and a fully equipped salon she is a luxury experience second to none. As she’s rigged to go around the world, she will safely bring guest around Koh Samui and to nearby islands such as Angthong National Marine Park, Koh Tao, and Koh Phangan. Koh Phangan (8 hrs)
Koh Phangan is the largest of Samui’s neighbouring islands with an area of 168 square km. The island has numerous heavenly white sandy beaches and secluded bays all along its coastline, some of them reachable only by a boat cruise. Over 3/4 of the island is mountainous tropical forest and a large part of it is classified as “national park” of Thailand. This preservation allows the island to keep its natural and untamed character, since the wonderful landscapes cannot be spoiled by excess buildings.

- 09:00~ The Independence departure -sailing towards Koh Phangan
- 11:30 ~ First stop is Koh Ma with the colorful reef. Time for snorkeling
- 13:00 ~ Delicious lunch is served aboard, set the sail to Than Sadet beach
- 14:30 ~ Arriving to Than Sadet, we take you to the beach to visit the waterfalls and to observe the wild varans (up to two meters long!!)

Overnight Charter
Our Overnight Charter Itinerary is arranged together with you. Depending on your destinations, we will put a suggestion together for you that is based on our experience. We offer overnight charters from 1 night / 2 days to 13 nights / 14 days. Herein as list below is a sample itinerary for a 6 nights / 7 days holiday cruising around the islands.
- Day 1: You are picked up on the arranged beach or your hotel. Once you have been settled in then the yacht movs to Koh Tan where you spend the first night.
- Day 2: The boat is heading to Angthong National Marine Park where you will have dinner at the main island after the tour boats are gonet. Few people stay there and the monkeys are coming down from the mountain to join for dinner.
- Day 3: You will visit the main view point and start exploring the islands in the park before the tour boats arrive. You will spend the night at a secluded spot with amazing surroundings.
- Day 4: The yacht sets off to Koh Tao in the morning where you will stop at some small bays for snorkeling and sightseeing. You will spend the night at one of the small bays.
- Day 5: You will sail around Koh Tao to the small island Koh Nang Yuan where you can enjoy the afternoon. After that you will move to the main city of Koh Tao where you will enjoy the evening and stay overnight.
- Day 6: Departure to Koh Phangan to some nice bays. We will stay overnight at a bay with entertainment and restaurants – like Koh Samui in the last 15 years ago.
- Day 7: Departure to Koh Samui with a stop at the full moon party beach. Then you will be transferred to your Hotel or Airport.

Nothing compares with a private luxury sailboat that takes you to a pristine, empty beach on an island the other tourists can't get too. I used to take day trips from samui on the crowded boat to angthong marine park, but this experience has totally spoiled me. Amazing! We went on a 2 day charter and the scenery was simply stunning and the water clear like you only see on commercials. It was cool to be the only ones at the attractions as we arrived after the crowd had moved. Waking up to an amazing breakfast similar to the buffet at the Hotel and tracking with the monkeys was the best experience we had. It rained a little on the way back, but the captain and crew took care of that with a smile and a few drinks. They were friendly, professional and delivered exactly what I (and my demanding lady) was looking for. We are going again next year but this time we will spend a few more days on the boat!

The boat is magnificent, the crew professional with Captain Luca taking care of the sailing but also as a great chef at the kitchen!
We toured Koh Chang, Koh Pha-Ngan and Samui, going back very soon.
