We would like to offer you a unique agro-touristic experience – to spend half of a day as real Thai farmers.
At first you will put on ‘mo khom’ – traditional clothes of Northern Thailand (‘mo’ is a pot and ‘khom’ is a plant of indigo color, from which a similar dye is produced), learn a lot of interesting and useful information about rice and its significance in Thai culture, the ways of its planting and growing. And then you will plant your rice and give it a name (usually rice is called by his owner’s name). After the farming, you will have a tasty farm dinner in the restaurant with a view of the rice fields. Afterward, Thai staff will take care of your rice and will send monthly reports with photos by email.
The tour takes place on the territory of one of the resorts located in the area of Maenam.
At the moment this is the only agro-touristic tour on Koh Samui.
